Follow-up from the speaker:
How do you Find Peace in Everyday Life?
You have more peace when you know who you are, what makes you tick, what makes you happy or sad. You’re not thrown off your game anymore because you have a solid foundation of inner knowing that is not easily broken.
- Create Oasis Moments – take moments of appreciation to prime your pump for the Journey Within. It aligns you with positive thought so the Critical Judge (CJ) stays in the library while you journey.
- Journey Within – go within to find you, that fabulous woman hidden inside of you. Really, she’s royalty, like the Queen of your domain. Worth finding, yes?
- Make Choices – what are you going to do with what you’ve learned – what I call your something more? I ask you to start by making this choice: “I CAN DO IT”! I can take this journey. I can risk quiet time to find that fabulous hidden woman. I can create Oasis Moments. I can do it!
The Pivot Rule
The goal isn’t life balance, it’s moving between your many responsibilities with grace and ease. The Pivot Rule helps you do that with just three easy steps. Like this: busy day at work, pick up daughter, take her to soccer practice, while she practices you hit the grocery store, pick her up then head home to make dinner. Whew!
The three steps – pause, appreciate, let it go. That’s it! When you get in the car leaving work, before starting the car, pause. Then reflect on one moment from your workday. On a tough day you may only offer up “savoring my coffee on break”, but most days you’ll find something to appreciate. Then let it go. Mentally put work in a compartment and close the door. When you get home after soccer and groceries, pause, appreciate, then let it go. Between all your many responsibilities, pausing to appreciate, then releasing will bring you more peace of mind.
The Connection Practice – creating coherence, the state of being when all the body’s systems are working in sync. Here, in coherence, peace comes.
- Hand on then focus on your heart
- Breathe as if through your heart
- Appreciate your heart
