Eligibility & Selection

To participate in Leadership Richardson applicants must live and/or work within the City of Richardson or the Richardson Independent School District. The Admissions Committee may select a limited number of participants who do not meet the eligibility requirements. These applicants must demonstrate significant involvement in Richardson through their work or community life.

An anonymous Admissions Committee appointed by the chairman of the Leadership Richardson Advisory Board selects a class of up to 42 participants. Participants are selected from a cross section of Richardson community life. Qualified candidates not selected are encouraged to re-apply the following year.

Tuition & Financial Assistance

The tuition for Leadership Richardson is $1,050 for Chamber members and $1,150 for non Chamber members. Tuition covers the cost of orientation, educational materials, mailings, staff and all other program costs. Employers are encouraged to pay the cost of tuition as an investment in Richardson and the personal leadership development of their employee.

A limited number of partial scholarships are available for those who demonstrate financial need. All scholarship applicants are required to be responsible for a minimum of 40% of the tuition. This may be paid by the employer or the applicant. To apply for financial assistance, applicants must complete the Scholarship Request Form.
